Dr. Elizabeth (Lizzie) Hubbard, Ph.D., CSCS
Principal Investigator
As an exercise psychophysiologist, Dr. Hubbard develops evidence-based and ecologically-valid exercise interventions aimed at simultaneously improving physiological and psychological outcomes for individuals with neurological disorders and older adults. Her work has demonstrated that ecologically-valid high-intensity interval training (HIIT) is feasible and provides a significant stimulus with the potential to improve clinically-relevant outcomes in both clinical and healthy populations. Dr. Hubbard has a Ph.D. in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois (2013-2017), a M.S. in Exercise Science from the University of South Florida (2011-2013), and a B.S. in Psychobiology from Centre College (2006-2010). She is also a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength & Conditioning Association (2017-present).
